From Terry Oglesby: "If you've never visited A Little Aardvark Never Hurt Anyone, today is a good day. It's one of those posts that helps you to remember what's important in life. And beyond." (I don't know how someone as young as Terry can get into this, but he and Aardvark are absolutely right!)

KGB Report and Drudge have at Super Bowl Janet's "unveiling"; thanks to Instapundit for links. No comment from me, because it's all been said!

Here's an absorbing, if biased, essay by a true Southerner, Stoney at Rebel Yell. The author is fair enough to also publish adverse comments received on his essay. Both Stoney and the dissenters make some good points. Read The Democrats, The South, and The Flag. Thanks to Chuck for link.

KENTUCKY REDNECK

In Kentucky, you don't see too many people hang-gliding. Ol' Zeke decided to save up and get a hang-glider. He takes it to the highest mountain, and after struggling to the top, he gets ready to take flight. He takes off running and reaches the edge and into the wind he goes!

Meanwhile, Maw & Paw Hicks were sittin' on the porch swing, talkin 'bout the good ol' days when maw spots the biggest bird she has ever seen!

"Look at the size of that bird, Paw!" she exclaims.

Paw raises up, "Git my gun, Maw."

Maw runs into the house, brings out his pump action shotgun. He takes careful aim.
BANG...BANG.....BANG.....BANG!

The monster size bird continues to sail silently over the tree tops.

"I think ya missed him, Paw," she says.

"Yeah...maybe so" he replies, "but at least he let go of ol' Zeke, didn't he!"
